San Antonio Sports Venues & Stadiums
The San Antonio sports scene is active, with the four-time World-Champion NBA San Antonio Spurs basketball team. The Spurs play at the new AT&T Center less than six miles from the Fairmount Hotel & Suites. Other San Antonio sports teams include the AHL's San Antonio Rampage and the WNBA's San Antonio Silver Stars, and San Antonio also plays host to many other annual sporting events.
There are three major centers for sporting events ion San Antonio: the AT&T Center, the Alamodome, and Wolff Stadium, which is home to a minor league baseball team known as the San Antonio Missions.

The Alamodome, a multi-purpose facility in San Antonio, was built in 1993 and seats 65,000.
It features the latest in dome architecture and engineering technology, with column-free spans for unobstructed viewing. The Alamodome is primarily used for football & basketball games and as a convention center. Many annual sporting events are held here, among them the Texas Football Classic and the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. The UIL 5A Division I and II Football Championship games (high school football playoffs and state championships) are also held here.

The newest sporting event center in the San Antonio area, the AT&T Center opened in late 2002, just in time for the San Antonio Spurs to win their second NBA championship title at this location. The AT&T Center is home to the San Antonio Spurs, the AHL's San Antonio Rampage, and the WNBA's San Antonio Silver Stars. The annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, one of the top rodeos in the U.S., is also held here.
The state-of-the-art AT&T Center, with a seating capacity of 18,500, is also a great San Antonio location for many big-name concerts, family shows and other special events. The San Antonio AT&T Center also offers 60 luxury suites, four restaurants and several ATMs. Also available at the center are a shop for team memorabilia, a children's interactive play area, and a permanent collection of artwork of local and regional artists.

The San Antonio Missions play minor league baseball at Wolff Stadium in San Antonio. The stadium seats 6,300 and is a good setting for company picnics and group get-togethers, with 14 luxury sky boxes. Food and drink concessions are available at stands behind first base, home plate, third base, the grill area in left field, and on the mezzanine level.
